Come and be a part of a La Salle tradition - The Canned Food Drive.
This year, we are asking ALL alumni to consider answering the call -
The Call to Serve, by participating in the first annual Alumni Canned
Food Drive Drop Off Night.
For years, our Lancers have collected cans for
the poor. For many students, this event has been a highlight as they see how
the power of many and the collective individual efforts can make a difference in the
lives of those less fortunate.
One such example of the impact the Canned Food Drive has had on our community is with the mother of Brian T. Hunter '00. Brian passed away in 2002 due to a tragic motorcycle accident, however he was a frequent visitor after his graduation to the canned food drive. This year, his mother, in memory of Brian, donated 48 cans to the La Salle Canned Food Drive, stating, ..."this event was such a huge part of Brian's life. He believed he was making a difference."
It is with this in mind, that we respectfully ask for your participation in not only a great La Salle community event......but the tradition of La Salle -
serving those less fortunate
