Camelot
was started in 1987 as an exciting fun filled evening to raise money for
co-curriculars at La Salle. Camelot 2010 –
“Rockin’ the Night Away” will be our 23rd annual charity auction. Each year
hundreds of parents, faculty, alumni and friends of La
Salle have contributed to the auction by attending the event,
donating items and volunteering. During the past 23 years we have raised over
$1,900,000.00! This year our auction will take place on February 27, 2010.
“Rockin’
the Night Away” will have all the elements that have made it a successful event
in the past including hors d’oeurves, a gourmet sit down dinner, an open bar
and a continental breakfast at the end of the evening. And this year, back by
popular demand, Mike Davis, “Mr. Entertainment”, will perform at the conclusion
of the oral auction. Along with being a premier Elvis impressionist, Mike’s
tribute show includes salutes to other vocal idols such as Tom Jones, Neil
Diamond, Toby Keith and many others. Last year his musical performance had
everyone dancing and singing along with him.
We
will have an exciting array of oral and silent auction items to bid on. Bids on
the silent auction items may be placed throughout the evening with each booth
closing at specific times.
The
oral auction features a professional auctioneer offering many unique items. In
the past these items have included jewelry, tickets to major sporting events,
vacations, furniture, and the list goes on.
Camelot is a fun, exciting
and most importantly, a profitable evening. Come experience this year’s
“Rockin’ the Night Away” with us.
